HUMAN RESOURCES OF HKU

 

The Faculty of Science was formally established in 1939, but basic science subjects were taught as early as 1912 when the University first admitted students. It comprises six departments and offers two undergraduate degrees, five coursework MSc degrees and two research postgraduate degrees.

The Faculty aims to achieve excellence in research, provide a specialist education of world class standard for future scientists, and to promote science literary within the University and the society. In the coming years, we hope to further integrate with the international community through engagements and participation in frontier science projects and to perform competitive research at the highest international levels.
