The Department of Architecture was first introduced into the University in 1950, under the Deanship of Professor R. Gordon Brown. Currently, the Faculty of Architecture offers programs in its three departments and one division that cover breadth and depth in the professional as well as the academic research fields of Architecture, Real Estate and Construction, Urban Planning and Landscape Architecture. The Faculty of Architecture provides an environment to support research in which the majority of staff are expected to produce world-class research output. Moreover, we strive to disseminate research results that are of value to scholars, practitioners, government, and the building industries.
